Apple really does do market research!

Steve Jobs once said it is not the consumers job to know what they want, that is ours! But he only meant it to an extent.  Of course an innovation driven company like Apple is more product orientated than most and he refused to use many types of market research; he wouldn’t use focus groups, for example.  The link above is to the Wall street Journal andtheir piece about how they found out that Apple did do some market research!   But not much!
